Kay is a soulful artist. Her eyes and heart are deeply intertwined… you can see and feel that in her photos. But what’s magic about her goes beyond that. When my mom was diagnosed with end stage cancer, I let Kay know we had to cancel our booking as we were quickly headed to Oregon to get married before mom passed. Kay became an unexpected source of light for us, not just because she offered to travel to Oregon on her own dime, but because of her gentle and empathetic reverence for our experience. I was overwhelmed by her generosity of spirit. She captured the tenderness and the raw, bittersweet beauty of those precious moments. For our 30th wedding anniversary, we returned to that sacred space with Kay. Once again, I was moved by her art, heart and compassion.
